The inspiration for the name of this blog came from US Senator’s Elizabeth Warren’s response to being told to shut up by the Speaker of the House, Mitch McConnell just after President Trump was elected in 2017. Undaunted, she continued. In a fury, Mighty Mitch uttered the immortal words, “She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted.”
